Underwater Condition in the Dark

There are times when you feel as though you are in the clutches of
something that has pulled you under where you are unable to catch your
breath.

No matter what you try you flail in certain defeat but are unable to surrender.

It's those times when you struggle, when you feel weighed down and
are afraid of being found out. It may be a fear of losing something you value.
Something you find distinctive, something that shines you.

It compels you and you think you won't survive without it.
It's painful and you often feel threatened by losing. It often feels like a
matter of life and death.

You make efforts for release but are pulled further down. You are in
over your head, but won't admit it.

Pride, the pride of being able to do it, know it and show it off has lured
you in over your head. But you won't surrender. You won't give up and
admit defeat.

You hang on as it dives deep underwater. Renunciation of your hard work
is out of the question. Conceit takes you prisoner.

Let go and float to the surface.
