Mermaids in the Dark

A spiritual voyage is a serious matter. Like any trip, you need to know
where you are headed and what you need for such a journey.

It's mostly a solitary expedition. It's a voyage through the oceans of
your inner conditions. No one else can make the effort for you.
But there is help.

There are guides and tried and true guidelines.
You just have to be willing to try them for yourself, every day no
matter where you are. You have to watch your step.

The guidelines help you steady yourself when the sirens within
yourself go off. You have to be a dedicated student to travel your
own oceans.

You need to be on the lookout. It's a lookout into your mind
and going beyond the conditions. Seeing the conditions is important.
They can stop and trip you up. You have to be willing to
learn how to meet the conditions that come up. They come up all day
long. Some of them knock you off course.

It's not all rough, but it can get rough. There are doldrums
and storms and glimpses of pure seas. But it's always changing.

Two conditions will knock you off course right away, pride and anger.
They are whirlwinds and you'll spin in these whirlpools going round and round.
Beware of these mermaids.
