The Work in the Dark
There are many layers to the work of Buddha.
Different forms and different shapes show us
what the work is. To carry prayer and spin it
out to all beings in all directions.
She ceaselessly sits and spins her offerings.
In the dark, in the backyard, on the top of peaks
or on a mantle, she works.
She works until she disappears. The offerings are
given without restraint or bias. No one is
chosen. It is freely given. She meets the world
wherever she is.
Our work is the same. Like the sun and moon, we offer
light throughout each breath. Big and small, all are included.
Spin the prayer wheels of your life in all directions. Leave
nothing out.
Forget the self craving ego and meet everything with
care and a tending approach. We know how to work. Work
at forgetting the self and come face to face with countless beings.
Let them wake you up. They are the Buddha's prayer troops.
Make a prayer list that come today.
